Defective products warranty policy

Last revised August 5, 2024

If you believe a part is defective, contact the shop before using or installing it. Installing a suspected defective part can affect the claim.

Inside the initial return window

A part reported as defective inside the initial return window is handled as a replacement process by the shop.

After the initial return window

Later claims are made under the manufacturer's warranty and follow the manufacturer's process and timelines.

Shipping

Shipping conditions differ between the two processes: shipping on an early replacement is treated differently from general warranty shipping, which is normally the customer's responsibility. Confirm with the shop which process applies to your claim before sending anything back.

Exclusions

Costs to remove and reinstall a defective part are not covered by this policy, whether the claim is handled by the shop or by the manufacturer.
